Wilmington Police Academy's 99th graduating class become newest officers as reported during Action News at 4 on August 9, 2019.

WILMINGTON, Del. (WPVI) -- Dressed in their pressed blues, a new crop of officers is now ready to serve.

Those are the newest officers of the Wilmington Police Department, marking their graduation from the Academy this morning.

Family and friends gathered to congratulate the 32 recruits who make up the Academy's 99th graduating class.

They'll begin their assignments in the Uniformed Services Division on Monday.
