Man survives bear attack in California

A man is bruised, but alive to tell the tale of going toe-to-toe with a 200 pound black bear.

The scuffle happened on his porch near Yosemite National Park in California.

The man saw the bear then tried to scare it off. He then hit the bear with a plastic tub.

The bear came back at him, but his small dog may have saved him.

The pooch distracted the bear long enough so that the man could get away.

Wildlife crews are looking for the bear.
