Police said the latest shooting happened just before midnight Sunday on the 6600 block of North Hill Creek Drive.
"Seems to have stemmed from some kind of party that was out here but unsure of the motive at this time," said Captain Lewis Higginson, with the Philadelphia Police Department.
Officers were stationed less than a block away, due to the previous shooting, when they heard gunfire coming from the Hill Creek Apartments complex, police said.
Police arrived and said they found two teenagers who were shot. An 18-year-old female was shot in the upper back and another victim, in his late teens, was unconscious and suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg.
Investigators said at least 17 shots were fired in the complex.
Roughly 10 minutes into the investigation, officers said they received a 911 call for two more teenage victims who were shot during the shooting in the complex. A 16-year-old boy was shot in the arm and a 17-year-old boy had a with gunshot wound to the leg.
Four of the five victims survived, but police tell Action News that a man died after he was shot at the scene.
"During the initial response, officers also transported a male to Temple. That male was subsequently pronounced deceased. He's John Doe at the moment; we have no age. Appears to be an adult male," Higginson said.
Investigators said they're working with the Philadelphia Housing Authority to review surveillance video in the complex and determine if there's any connection to the disturbance from early Sunday morning.
