World War II veteran from South Jersey honored with a Quilt of Valor

BURLINGTON, N.J. (WPVI) -- A 101-year-old South Jersey World War II veteran is being honored for his service and sacrifice.

On Thursday the Action Cam was in Masonic Village at Burlington retirement community.

James Owens received a Quilt of Valor from the National Quilts of Valor Foundation, recognizing his wartime service.

The organization handcrafts quilts as a tangible expression of gratitude.

Mr. Owens and his daughter say this recognition means a lot.



Burlington Township's mayor E.L. Green presented Mr. Owens with a special proclamation.
