2 critically hurt in Southwest Philadelphia row home fire

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Two people were critically hurt in a row home fire Wednesday in Southwest Philadelphia.

Crews were called to the 1600 block of South 54th Street just before 9:30 a.m.

They were told there was a person trapped inside.

When crews arrived, flames were coming from the home.

Two people were pulled from the home and taken to the hospital in critical condition with burn injuries, according to officials.



The fire was placed under control around 9:50 a.m.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
