PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are investigating a possible road rage incident they say occurred in the Logan section of the city on Sunday afternoon.

At around 2:30 p.m., police responded to the shooting incident in the 1900 block of Windrim Avenue.

When they arrived, they found a 32-year-old woman shot in the elbow and a 30-year-old man shot in the chest. The car they were inside was also pierced by at least one bullet.

Police sources tell Action News the incident began with erratic driving between two vehicles that eventually led to an exchange of words and gunfire.

Sources also tell Action News two children were in the backseat of the victim's car but weren't injured.

"That's pretty traumatic, something that stays with you for the rest of your life," said George Mosee Jr., the executive director of the Philadelphia Anti-Drug Anti-Violence Network.

Mosee says his crisis team immediately responded to the scene on Sunday afternoon.

This shooting in Logan isn't an unfamiliar sight or feeling for Mosee.

"It's more and more brazen. Fortunately, this year we've seen a decrease, but whenever you have one, it's one too many," said Mosee.

Malika Powell returned to the scene Monday afternoon. She says her RV was damaged in the chaos.

"It had been hit and the whole side was knocked off. It may be bullet holes in it, I'm just here to examine it and see what's going on," Powell told Action News.

Powell says she is in the process of renovating the RV into a mobile catering business. Since she purchased it five months ago, the vehicle has been hit twice.

"There's no houses, no anything, you'd think it would be out of the way, but it's not," said Powell. "They zoom through here, the traffic is horrible, they hit these corners. They don't stop, like totally crazy. It's always something going on right here."

Detectives continue to search the area for video.

Sources tell Action News, they do have leads on a possible suspect.

Police say no weapons were recovered and no arrests have been made.

Authorities say the 30-year-old man is in critical condition and the 32-year-old woman is stable.
