Woman, 4-year-old boy injured after being hit by dump truck in Wilmington, Delaware

WILMINGTON, Del. (WPVI) -- A 26-year-old woman and a 4-year-old boy were seriously injured after being hit by a dump truck in Wilmington, Delaware.

The crash happened around 11:15 a.m. Friday in the 100 block of South Union Street.



Action News has been told that the victims were dragged by the truck after being hit.

They were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Their exact conditions were not immediately known.



The driver stayed at the scene.

The Wilmington Police Department is investigating the crash.
