4-year-old falls from third-story apartment building window in North Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A 4-year-old boy is in the hospital after he fell from a third-story apartment building window on Tuesday evening in North Philadelphia.

It happened around 6:38 p.m. in the 2200 block of N. 7th Street.

Police say the child was initially taken to Temple University Hospital, but was then transferred to St. Christopher's Hospital for Children.

Authorities say the boy is listed in stable condition.

The circumstances surrounding the child's fall remain under investigation.



An investigation is being conducted by the Special Victims Unit.
