PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- 44 brand new affordable housing units were unveiled in the Kensington section of Philadelphia on Wednesday.
Members of the New Kensington Community Development Corporation were joined by local and state leaders for the ribbon cutting ceremony at the Ruth Street Civic House complex.
Officials say these apartments have been priced to be affordable for residents whose median income is approximately $30,000 a year.
Ruth Street Civic House is located steps away from a building housing the New Kensington Community Development Corporation offices and programs including housing counseling, nutrition education, economic development, and more.
