PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- One man is dead and another man was injured after a shootout in North Philadelphia.

Police say this happened just before midnight on Wednesday in the 900 block of West Reno Place.

Officers found the two victims outside the Richard Allen Homes and rushed them to the hospital.

One of them, a 24-year-old man who had been shot in the back, died.

The other, a 30-year-old man, survived and is in stable condition.

Detectives described the crime scene as expansive, saying nearly 60 shell casings from two different weapons were found about a block apart.

So far, police have not made any arrests or announced a possible motive.

Investigators hope doorbell surveillance video will help track down the gunmen.
