PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- This summer's historic heat wave has proven to be deadly in Philadelphia.
The city's health department said seven heat-related deaths have been reported so far in July.
That includes the stretch in which Philadelphia saw three straight days of temperatures over 100 degrees.
There was also a heat-related death back in May, city officials said.
New Jersey earlier reported 29 heat-related deaths, with most of them occurring in the northern and central parts of the state.
