K-9 units compete for top dog in Atlantic City

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (WPVI) -- Police K-9s showcased their skills in Atlantic City.

Harrah's hosted the United States Police Canine Association's National Detector Dog Trials.

Teams from Philadelphia Police and several other local departments took part in the competition.

The dogs and their handlers were awarded prizes in narcotics and explosives detection.

The events were held from Sunday through Wednesday.



The U-S Police Canine Association and Stockton University teamed up to host the event.
