911 dispatchers honored by Philadelphia Fire Department for their commitment to the community

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- This weeks is National Public Safety Telecommunicators week.

And to mark the occasion, the Philadelphia Fire Department honored two 911 dispatchers on Wednesday.

John Walsh and Katreese Floyd were recognized by Fire Commissioner Jeffrey Thompson for their commitment to the community.

They each received an award for their service.

The ceremony was held at the Fireman's Hall Museum in Old City.
