American Eagle flight from PHL to Wilmington, North Carolina, makes emergency landing in Virginia

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Reports of smoke in the cabin of a flight from Philadelphia forced pilots to make an emergency landing.

The American Eagle flight was heading from PHL to Wilmington, North Carolina, on Monday when it diverted to Norfolk International Airport in Virginia.

It landed safely with no reported injuries.

American Airlines said the aircraft was taken out of service to be inspected by a maintenance team.
