Our blogger friends at Two Cents say you can negotiate many things.
Number one - Your monthly rent.
An industry insider claims market rent is usually up to $200 above the monthly amount that large apartment complexes feel they must charge.

So ask if the complex will come down on the monthly rate. If the answer is no, consider prepaying for a few months in advance, offering a longer lease, or offering to exchange work like mowing or maintaining your own lawn for a reduced rate.
Number two - try negotiating down your medical bills. Just pick up the phone and ask your doctor's office, hospital, or insurance company to work with you.
Number three - You can also haggle on prices for floor models, open box items, as well as damaged goods.
If an item is damaged, ask if you can get a percentage off. Usually the store will offer an additional 10% savings.
Number four - Two Cents tells Action News you might even try bargaining for a better price on your college tuition. By using one college's offer to leverage a better financial package from another.
Finally, credit card interest rates and fees are sometimes negotiable, too.
