Officers were called to the 4700 block of Ogletown Stanton Road around 10:30 a.m. Saturday.
Upon arrival, police say they found a deceased 30-year-old man from Wilmington, Delaware in shallow water at the edge of the pond.
Due to the suspicious nature of the incident, the Delaware State Police Homicide Unit have taken over the investigation.
A cause and manner of death are currently unknown.
Police continue to investigate.
