CENTER CITY (WPVI) -- Dozens of local students were awarded scholarships through a unique program called Philadelphia Futures.
Through business partnerships and what's called 'Sponsor a Scholar,' students receive $7,500 while in high school to use towards college prep and scholarship money.
To qualify students must show academic promise, come from a low income family and be first generation to attend college.
