BUCKS COUNTY, Pa. (WPVI) -- A common pleas judge in Bucks County sentenced a piano instructor who sexually abused his students.

Timothy Shay, 51, was ordered to spend 18 to 54 years in state prison.

He will serve one to three years for each of the 18 victims identified during the investigation.

Prosecutors say Shay's abuse spanned several years.

It began over 20 years ago in the late 1990s and early 2000s, with the youngest victim being just five years old when it happened.

The sentencing marks the conclusion of a case that began in early 2025 when a single victim came forward to Middletown Township Police.

Four victims of the abuse delivered statements in the courtroom before Tuesday's sentencing.
