SUV crashes into Burger King in Northeast Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- No serious injuries were reported after an SUV crashed into a Burger King restaurant late Friday morning in Northeast Philadelphia.

It happened just before noon in the 2500 block of Welsh Road at Leonard Street.

Video from the Action Cam showed the Hyundai Santa Fe entirely inside the restaurant.



Authorities say there was no one inside the building at the time of the crash.



First responders rescued the driver from the vehicle, but that person did not seek medical treatment.

The cause of the crash is not yet known.
