Car hit by SEPTA train after going down embankment in Delaware

STANTON, Del. (WPVI) -- A driver is hospitalized after a bizarre crash with a SEPTA train on Tuesday night in Delaware.

It happened at Delaware Park in Stanton at around 8 p.m.

Police say the driver lost control and went down an embankment, coming to a rest on the train tracks.

A SEPTA train headed to the Fairplay Station in Christiana then struck the vehicle.

There's no word on the driver's condition.



The train is now out of service while repairs are made.
