EDDYSTONE, Pa. (WPVI) -- Catholic Charities of Philadelphia is celebrating America's 250th birthday by supporting families facing hunger.
A truck carrying 40,000 pounds of donated, shelf-stable food arrived at its Eddystone location Thursday morning.
That's enough food to feed about 1,400 people for one week.
This donation is part of a nationwide America250 initiative in partnership with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints that will provide an estimated 10 million meals to American families in need.
