MALVERN, Pa. (WPVI) -- A hometown creator is on a mission with muscle.

Malvern native Hollie Mershon is turning her own silent struggles into something purposeful.

She dealt with anxiety and depression after ACL injuries sidelined her professional basketball career overseas.

In 2019, she founded the company "Weightless."

It's a line of heavy knit hoodies and crew necks aimed at keeping people comfortable, while also helping those dealing with the kind of weight that doesn't show up on the outside, like anxiety and depression.

A portion of the profits is donated to the Quell Foundation, whose mission is to reduce stigma around mental health and normalize the conversation.

"I, for many years, felt very alone in my struggle," said Mershon. "So I'm hoping to build a community where people feel safe, open up, and talk about what they're going through so they don't have to carry it alone."

Eagles player Zack Baun has worn her hoodies, as well as some women's basketball players from the Big 5.

Every piece is 100% cotton double-knit, making it a little heavier than the average sweatshirt.

She says the natural weight feels like a heavy blanket and gives the person wearing it a tangible reminder that they're not alone.
