A special pep rally was held at City Hall on Friday, where a preview of the official race jerseys and custom-designed trophies was shown.
"We are ready to launch the Philadelphia Cycling Classic into orbit," said race announcer Dave Towle.
After a 30-year run, it's the first time the race is back since 2016.
Thirty-two teams will take part in the bike race. It follows a 14.2-mile circuit through the city, including Lemon Hill and the Manayunk Wall.
"There's a ton of nostalgia, and that's kind of one of the reasons I thought it was so important to bring it back," said Race Street Partners Co-Founder Carlos Rogers.

This year, two local cyclists will be competing.
"I don't really have words to talk about how much it means to me personally. I got into cycling watching this race," said Robin Carpenter.
Carpenter, who is originally from Manayunk, says he's excited to ride through his neighborhood.
"Every year my parents would have a party on the wall," said Carpenter.
Setups and barricades can be seen along the Ben Franklin Parkway Friday afternoon in preparation for the event.
It's a big event for spectators.

"In what other major sporting event do the world's top elite athletes fly right past your front door? I mean global top athletes at the height of their game just coming by your block. Just riding by your neighborhood," said Mayor Cherelle Parker.
Parker says the return of this event after 10 years is a turning point for the city, once again in the international spotlight.
The race will feature 212 riders representing 28 countries and 36 teams, including eight WorldTour teams, Olympic and national champions.
"This event has no ticket revenue. So I love it! Equity, access to opportunity. It doesn't matter who you are," said Mayor Parker.
The race is Sunday, but a full weekend of events is planned, including a two-day fan fest at Fairmount Park, a charity ride and amateur race.
