PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- The City of Philadelphia has agreed to pay a nearly $3 million settlement in connection with a high-speed police chase that seriously injured a 6-year-old girl and her great-aunt in 2017.
Lawyers for the victims say a Philadelphia police officer pursued a suspect at high speeds through West Philadelphia into Upper Darby in April of that year.
The suspect's dirt bike collided with the woman and child at 69th and Market.
Lawyers for the victims argued the pursuit violated department policy.
Philadelphia police declined to comment on Wednesday.
