Co-founder and "Fast & Furious" franchise star Cody Walker says the event also celebrates a mission important to his late brother, actor Paul Walker.
On Saturday, September 19, FuelFest will once again open the gates for its New Jersey Festival at the New Jersey Motorsports Park in Millville.
It's been two years since FuelFest revved its engines at the park, but Walker says this year's festival is going to be bigger than ever.
"It's not just a car show," he says. "It's a living, breathing event where motorsports meets car show, meets festival vibe, meets a concert vibe, and it's family-friendly. We're going to have the drift ride-alongs with the drift cars and the hot pits, and my buddy T.J. Hunt is actually going to be making an appearance this year and joining us in on all the fun at the event."
Cody lost his older brother, "Fast & Furious" star Paul Walker, in 2013.
He says their shared love of cars is part of the legacy.
"All of this stuff that Paul got into, I was along there for the ride and was indoctrinated at a young age," Cody says. "I just love this stuff to death, and to be able to do what I love, and to have the success that we found with the shows, has just been so special."
Cody says FuelFest is a party with a purpose, with funds going to Paul's charity, Reach Out Worldwide.
"They send volunteers into areas stricken by natural disaster," he explains. "They have a team on the ground in Nepal right now, helping out the people who've been just absolutely devastated there."
FuelFest is set to open gates for its New Jersey Festival at the New Jersey Motorsports Park on Saturday, September 19, located at 8000 Dividing Creek Road in Millville, New Jersey.
Gates are open from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m.
Admission tickets start at $40 per person and kids 12 and under are FREE.
