Collapse forces 2 families to evacuate Feltonville home

FELTONVILLE (WPVI) -- A house partially collapsed on the 4400 block of N. 8th Street in Philadelphia's Feltonville neighborhood.

The collapse happened just after 11 p.m. Wednesday night.

Nobody was hurt, but the American Red Cross is assisting eight people from two families.

The second floor of the home collapsed onto the first.

The damage was centered on the rear of the home, and has threatened a neighboring home.

Crews from Philadelphia Gas Works responded to the scene and shut off service.



It's not known what caused the home to collapse.
