NEW GARDEN TWP., Pa. (WPVI) -- Firefighters battled a hay bale fire on a farm in Chester County.
The fire started around 11 a.m. Thursday and, at last check, engulfed about 800 bales of hay at a mushroom farm on the 200 block of Ellicott Circle.

Multiple fire companies from surrounding areas were called in assist with battling the fire.
A firefighter was taken to an area hospital for heat-related issues. Their condition is unknown at this time.
