Dakota Johnson and Melanie Griffith on-camera spat on Oscars red carpet

Fifty Shades of Grey star Dakota Johnson brought her mother, Melanie Griffith as her date to the Oscars. On the red carpet, the two got into a little spat about it.

When Griffith was asked on an ABC pre-show if she'd seen her daughter's performance in the sexually explicit Fifty Shades of Grey, she simply replied, "No."

"I don't think I can. I think it would be strange," Griffith explained.

"All right! You don't have to see it!" argued Johnson.

"If she tells me to see it, I'll see it," Griffith said. Johnson replied, "I tell you to see it and you're like, 'Eh.'"
