Joar Dahn, 29, said in a social media post that he was involved in a crash Tuesday night near La Salle University.
According to Dahn, the collision happened at the intersection of Elkins and East Wister avenues.
Dahn said another driver ran a stop sign, struck his vehicle and then fled the scene.
The mayor said he did not suffer serious injuries but is experiencing pain following the crash.
