Residents gathered for a special meeting on Tuesday night, as supervisors in East Whiteland Township reviewed this request from Sentinel Green Fig, LLC.
The company wants to expand development on a building that was already approved for one million square feet of space.
The facility would go up at Swedesford Road and Valley Creek Boulevard at the former Foote Mineral Superfund site.
Residents have heavily criticized the project.
"PECO said it itself, adding a data center of this size is akin to adding an entire medium-sized city to an electric grid," said one resident.
The township scheduled another meeting to discuss the request for Tuesday, April 21.
