MT. AIRY (WPVI) -- Doho is a new restaurant serving upscale casual food fusing Latin and Asian flavors in Mount Airy.
The eatery shares a kitchen and a building with Catering by Design, a long-running boutique catering business. Peter Loevy owns both businesses. He opened the restaurant in September after years of noodling the idea.
They launched a ghost kitchen during the pandemic that served the neighborhood to "help keep the lights on," according to Loevy. The pop up was called Doho Taqueria. It served a taco-like creations on a signature platform, a pressed and steamed bao bun. Doho is a portmanteau blending the main ingredient, dough, and the street where the business is located in Mt. Airy, Horrter Street.
Executive Chef Roth Perelman runs the kitchen for the catering and created the menu for the restaurant. The doho dish is just one of many creative dishes on the restaurant menu.
The space includes a 39-seat dining area and a 7-seat bar with a list of craft cocktails and local brews.
