PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Former president and 2024 presidential candidate Donald Trump held a rally at Temple University in Philadelphia on Saturday.

It was held at the university's Liacouras Center.

The event comes just five days before the first scheduled presidential debate between Trump and President Joe Biden.

Trump spoke for close to an hour and a half during Saturday's event about several issues including the economy, foreign policy and the environment.

Trump says his campaign will bring hope to people who feel they have been forgotten by the Biden Administration.

As Trump courted voters inside the Liacouras Center, protesters held a counter-rally in support of President Biden.
