Driver thrown 15 feet after crashing on Roosevelt Boulevard

Police say a man is fighting for his life after being thrown 15 feet in a 1-car crash in Northeast Philadelphia early Wednesday morning.

The accident happened just before 12:30 a.m. on the southbound lanes of 7400 Roosevelt Boulevard.

According to police, the 30-year-old man lost control and hit a tree which caused the vehicle to roll over.

He was ejected 15 feet from the crumpled vehicle, police say.

The victim was rushed to the hospital with multiple serious injuries.



Accident investigators were called to the scene to determine what caused the driver to lose control.
