Dump truck overturns on NJ Turnpike, spilling dirt on roadway in East Windsor Township

EAST WINDSOR TWP., N.J. (WPVI) -- A dump truck overturned on the New Jersey Turnpike on Tuesday in Mercer County.

Chopper Six was over the scene, just north of Interchange 8.

The truck could be seen on its side on the southbound inner roadway. The wreck dumped dirt all over the road.



Crews are working to clear that dirt by using heavy machinery.



Still, traffic is only getting by on the shoulder, which is causing a long backup and massive delays.
