Fans got their first look at the team Wednesday as training camp opened at the Jefferson Health Training Complex.
The Eagles welcomed back several familiar faces, including defensive tackle Jalen Carter, who recently signed a multi-year contract extension.
"He's put his head down. He's worked, made impactful plays, and we look for that to continue," head coach Nick Sirianni said. "He's a heck of a football player who demands a lot of attention from opposing offenses."
Following warm-ups, running back Saquon Barkley spent time signing autographs for fans gathered along the sidelines.
Excitement surrounding the team was evident among Eagles supporters eager for the start of football season.
"The energy is back in the city," said Louis Duran of North Philadelphia. "There's a lot of talk with the Sixers, and now it's all kind of matching up. Philly sports in general are going to be great this year."
The Eagles will play their first preseason game on Aug. 15 in Baltimore.
