The pages were meant to be baby pictures of kids who just graduated from East Brook Middle School. Now, parents want to know how the Hitler picture got there, and why no one noticed until after the yearbooks were printed.
After collecting the books, administrators sent a letter to parents condemning the act.
"An image of him has no place in a yearbook created for our students. It does not reflect who we are or what East Brook stands for, and we condemn its inclusion without reservation," the principal said.
Paramus Mayor Chris di Piazza said the incident "doesn't represent Paramus...One bad action doesn't represent the town."
How the picture was included is under investigation. Paramus police were notified and the information was shared with the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office.
The school is working to replace all the yearbooks.
