On Saturday, September 13, Broad Street will be brimming with live performances, giveaways and events for arts fans of all ages.
"Last year, we got over 5,000 people to this event, and it really creates a great buzz," says Ryan Fleur, the president & CEO of Ensemble Arts Philly.
For the fifth year in a row, the free Philadelphia Fall Arts Fest will feature song, dance, music and a sampling of what's happening on stages across the city.
"This is a free festival-style experience happening here in the Kimmel Center in Commonwealth Plaza," Fleur explains. "We have over 50 regional arts organizations that are presenting their wares and promoting their seasons on our stages."
Come ready to be entertained.
"We have nearly 20 groups that are going to give free performances for the community, ranging from the Philadelphia Orchestra and Opera Philadelphia, to the Philadelphia Ballet, to some smaller community groups, as well as some Broadway performances," he says.
Ensemble Arts' new Broadway season kicks off on September 30 with the smash hit musical "SIX."
This Saturday, we get a sneak peek at some of the other big shows coming to town, like Disney's brand new touring production of "Beauty and the Beast," "Kimberly Akimbo" and "The Sound of Music."
Ensemble Arts Philly's fifth annual free Philadelphia Fall Arts Fest is this Saturday, September 13, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Kimmel Center on Broad Street.
