PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- It's been nearly four years since a man was shot and killed in the city's Tioga-Nicetown section.

Today, his family is still pleading for answers.

"My son didn't deserve to die. He didn't deserve to die that way."

Ramir Porter was 29 years old when he was shot numerous times on the 3900 block of Priscilla Street at 5:30 p.m. on July 31, 2022.

"I just want to know why and I want to know who did this to my child," says Porter's mother.

Porter, who was a father of two, was sitting on some steps, waiting for a friend to pick him up when the gunfire erupted.

He clung to life for nearly two and a half hours before succumbing to his injuries.

"If you saw something, if you think you saw something, if it's weighing heavy on your heart, say something and get that money. Help me find who killed my son," says Porter's mother.

The Citizens Crime Commission is offering a $20,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction of the person responsible for killing Ramir Porter.

The number to call is 215-546-TIPS.

Your call will remain anonymous.

"I want someone to come forward with some type of information so we can get some closure in the family."
