Investigators say Baptiste, 29, was walking along West Germantown Pike in East Norriton Sunday night, when he was hit by a car.
As he lay in the road, police say he was then also hit by a tractor-trailer.
Police are still working to determine if the first driver was under the influence.
"That Sunday morning he was praying heavily; it's almost like his spirit knew," said Guy Leroy, the older brother of Baptiste, to Action News. "I'm trying to process it."
East Norriton Township police say both drivers stayed at the scene.
The driver of the car, believed to be under the influence, was taken into custody, but as of Wednesday, no charges have been announced.
Leroy says he's still waiting for answers and hoping for accountability in this case.
"He was actually at the hospital for an unrelated matter, left the hospital, came down here; that's when the driver, supposedly drunk driver, killed him," said Leroy. "Whoever the driver was, I pray for him as well."
The 29-year-old from Lansdowne was a kindergarten teacher and a father to a 3-year-old girl.
His family says he was the one to call if you needed help.
"I didn't know how much love Ricky had until he passed away. If I told you how many people reached out -he was really loved by a lot of people," said Leroy.
Leroy says he'll never stop grieving his younger brother, but there's one thing that gives him peace.
"More than anything, he believed in God. I know for a fact he's up there," said Leroy. "Ricky was just a loving, kind kid; he loved God, so I know he's up there with them. That's what brings me peace at the end of the day."
