His family is hoping you can help solve the case.
"He was a good kid. He worked, didn't bother nobody. Was actually trying to start his own gym," says Sharon Haughton.
Navon Wingate's grandmother says the 29-year-old had plans for his life that never came to fruition.
Wingate was shot and killed on March 6th, 2021 just before 2:30 in the afternoon on the 2000 block of Anchor Street in the city's Frankford section.
It happened on the same street where he lived with his grandmother, as he returned home from running errands for her.
"I don't know what it feels to lose a dad like she did, I know it has to be kinda hard on her. Not only did they take away somebody's child, they took away a father who didn't get to see his daughter to grow up to become a young adult," says Haughton.
Wingate's daughter was just 8 years old when he was killed.
His family is hoping someone knows something, and will come forward with information.
"I just want someone to be accountable for what they did and let us have our day in court so they can see my face. I just hope and pray to god that I live to see that day," says Haughton.
The City of Philadelphia is offering a $20,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction in this case.
