PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- FIFA is fighting back against a report claiming that it will ban tailgating at stadiums holding matches for the 2026 World Cup.

This comes as Philadelphia prepares to host several games this summer.

In a statement, the organization says it does not have a formal policy and is leaving the tailgating issue to the host cities.

Some of the surprise came on Tuesday when organizers highlighted a no-tailgating rule for fans attending the matches in Boston.

Philadelphia has not offered any word on its policy.

The Linc will host six matches starting June 14.
