UNIVERSITY CITY (WPVI) -- It was a red carpet tribute to local heroes Wednesday night at the Cinemark University City.
Men and women of the US military, as well as local police officers and firefighter, attended a special screening of the new movie "The finest hours".

The film is the true story of a daring rescue mission off the coast of New England in 1952.
The movie is produced by Disney, which is the parent company of 6ABC.
