Firefighters rescue dog, owner from quarry in Berks County

BLANDON, Pa. (WPVI) -- Firefighters in Berks County safely rescued a dog and its owner after they became trapped in a quarry.

They were stuck about 60 feet down a steep embankment in Blandon, off Pleasant Hill Road.

Crews had to use rope rescue equipment and be carefully lowered down to the two for the rescue.

Thankfully, both the dog and its owner are okay.
