The recall was issued on Thursday by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission for Unity 7 Shot 200 Gram Aerial Cake Firework Devices.
The fireworks were sold in red, white, and blue and weigh about a third of a pound. The size measures 2.9 inches by 2.9 inches by 3.9 inches.
The box the pyrotechnics were sold in has a red, white, and blue label with the word "Unity" written on it. The label has images of American flags in the background.
The date codes between 03.16.2026 and 05.18.2026 and the model number MEF6096 are under the barcode on the back of the package.
Officials urged buyers to stop using the fireworks immediately and to return them to the store where they were purchased for a full refund. Consumers will receive the refund in cash or to their original form of payment.
While no injuries have been reported due to the fireworks, officials still urged consumers to return the product.
Winco Fireworks International, LLC, of Grandview, Missouri, is the manufacturer of the fireworks, and the product was sold at Pyro City stores and other independent fireworks stores nationwide between January 2026 and May 2026 for anywhere between $6 and $8.
Another recall listed on the Winco Fireworks International website included Hometown Roman Candles.
