Former Atlantic City fire chief collecting thousands in retirement

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (WPVI) -- Atlantic City's former fire chief will collect nearly $13,000 a month in retirement, even after he was caught on camera dropping his pants in front of a security officer.

It happened in February at the Atlantic City Public Safety Building.

The female metal detector worker says she asked Dennis Brooks to put anything metal on the table. Instead, he started taking his pants off.

Brooks was put on administrative leave shortly after.

City officials opted not to release the results of their investigation into the incident.

The metal detector worker claimed Brooks told her he was "having a bad day."

Brooks joined the fire department in 1979, and had served as chief for eight years. He retired on April 1, with an annual pension of nearly $221,000.
