WILLINGBORO, N.J. (WPVI) -- The former Mayor of Willingboro, Burlington County was sentenced to 12 months in prison for committing mortgage fraud.

Prosecutors say 59-year-old Nathaniel Anderson and his business associate orchestrated a fraudulent short sale of a property.

That sale allowed them to receive more than $200,000 dollars in mortgage relief from the government.

His business associate was sentenced to eight months of home confinement.
