ATLANTA, Ga. (WPVI) -- So far, so good, on cancer treatment for former President Jimmy Carter.

At an appearance with his wife Rosalynn at Atlanta's Carter Center, Carter said he's had the second of four treatments for melanoma, and isn't having any ill effects.

The former president is being treated with a new immune-boosting drug.

He had a small tumor removed from his liver last month, and shortly afterward, tests showed small melanoma spots on his brain.

Carter said the most challenging part of the treatment is drinking 64 ounces of fluid every day, because it keeps him in the restroom a lot.
