PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- The Free Library of Philadelphia is kicking off its "summer quest" program to encourage kids to read, create and explore.
Mayor Cherelle Parker was on hand for Tuesday's launch at the Parkway Central Library in Spring Garden.
During the quest, children can choose a character, pick their adventure, and complete challenges and activities all summer long.
They can even "level up" if they finish their quest early.
The program runs through August 14th.
