Ballers creates an epic social sports venue in historic building. Married duo David Gutstadt and Amanda Potter have turned a space inside Philadelphia's historic Battery building into a venue where sports meets breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The venue has been reimagined with six pickleball courts, three padel courts, four golf simulators, a chip and putt practice area, two squash courts and a turf field.
Along with all the sports activations there is an all-day café and full service restaurant and sports bar.
The space was created as a social venue built around a love of sports. It is open to the public and also includes membership options.

A & A Soft Pretzels started in a South Philadelphia basement in 1929. Nearly, 100 years later the third and fourth generation of the Panara family are using the same recipe and delivering tasty snacks across the region.
The pretzels are made in Camden and come in all shapes and sizes including the classic Philly style. There are footballs, pumpkins and the Phillies P for the playoffs. They make different flavors like cinnamon and everything seasoning.
When the pandemic hit the business pivoted, adding gluten free to the menu and opening its first store in Oaklyn, N.J. The shop sells all the different creations made in Camden along with its gluten free options. They also serve cheesesteak stuffed pretzels, pepperoni and cheese pretzolis and breakfast sandwiches.

New Italian restaurant, Corio, opens up in University City. It is the creation of three Vernick Food and Drink alums: David Feola, James Smith, and Ryan Mulholland.
The three owners credit Mulholland for a reunion that made them restaurant owners for the first time this past May.
The Italian eatery blends chef-inspired dishes with an approachable menu filled with unique flavors like their peach pizza served on house-made pizza dough.
The beverage program features a curated wine list, as well as a menu of specialty cocktails, such as the La Pelosa.
The business partners say their goal is to provide delicious food to a fun neighborhood for take-out or to sit to enjoy a full-service dinner.
