State and local leaders, as well as current students were invited to take part in the celebration that featured performances.
Visitors had the chance to take a trip down memory lane with displays showing the school's history, including pictures of students that passed through the halls over the years.
Gloucester Township Elementary first opened its doors to students back in 1926.
The building was originally designated as a junior high school, serving students in seventh and eighth grades.
The school now educates students from kindergarten through fifth grade.
While the inside of the building has been renovated over the years, the exterior remains the same.
